So I went on this date today...

first date in nearly eight months...I don't think I'll persue into a serious relationship(or a relationship at all)but I'm looking at the positive side of things...at least I'm not drowning in my own depression(as much)anymore...
thats a start...right?

Eight months? That's a long time. It's good that you're getting out. I'd say just enjoy the single life and date here and there. Nothing serious, like you said. Of course, I'm probably the wrong person to give dating advice as I don't do it myself. But that's by choice.
So, how was the date?

I went on a date last night for the first time in over 2 years. It was so great. The guy brought me flowers and opened the door for me. He brought the car up to the door so I wouldn't have to walk throught the rain. It was so nice being respected. All the last guy I went out with wanted to do was down me for not being enough of a tomboy. Some girls just want to be girly girls. I mean, is there anything wrong with that?

nothing wrong with it at all..

and yeah...eight months is a while I guess...eight months ago I got my heart broken and stayed in for a while...it took me until now to really start going anywhere in general...my sisters have had to pry me out of the house to go clubbing or something like that...
as for the date itself...it was simple..we went to the park got caught in a downpour and I kissed her...she gave me a dry shirt and a ride home and kissed me goodbye...wants to do it all again next week.

Well, that's lovely.
And, no, there's nothing wrong with being a "girly girl" (there's also nothing wrong with being a tomboy). Although some of them get on my nerves. It's not gonna hurt you to get a little rough every once in a while.
