ramble... yes. very rarely do the topics stay in their own topics. i try to sway them back from time to time but it's the inevitable i think.

This one forum I'm on, doesn't allow that. It has, like, a plethora of moderators. They'll get on you. All spamming, off-topic talk goes to a designated board. But they have it set it so your post count doesn't go up if you're using that particular board (General, and all it's sub-boards). That keeps you from increasing your post count by merely spamming. It sounds strict, but it is a fun place.
They're also strict on double-posting, which over there means to post, then post again before someone else does (the same thing twice is called 'clone-posting'). A lot of people will get on you if you do that. And short text, leetspeak, compuspeak, etc. is frowned up for the most part. They allow it only in moderation. But if you do it all the time, you're out. So, you can't post like: "hey, guyz wats up lol dis place is wkd", etc. Well, you can. But they'll ban you.

Most of the time tho double posting is unintentional. Not that neccssary to trip over a minor mistake.

Over there, they call it 'clone-posting', and it's not a big deal as it usually is a mistake. Just delete one of the posts. But as for 'double-posting' (posting, then posting again about something else), you can see whether or not someone has posted after you, before you make another one. Can't exactly call that a "minor mistake". Like I said, there are very strict rules against spamming and bad grammar. Typos they tolerate, but intentional crappy spelling, short text, and leetspeak, they don't. Only in minimal uses. And I don't blame them. Personally, it gives me a flippin' headache.
